Home Buyer's Inspection

Whether you're buying an existing home or a home that's under construction, a home inspection can make the process much easier.
Emotion often affects the buyer and makes it hard to imagine any problems with an existing home you want to buy. A buyer needs a home inspection to find out any problems with the home before moving in. See our link, "What To Expect During a Home Inspection."

Learning all you can about the property is a great way to insure that your home purchase will be a wise one.

To learn in detail what your inspection will consist of, see the pages which contain the American Society of Home Inspectors Standards of Practice and the National Association of Home Inspectors Standards of Practice. We've made them easy to print so you can study them at your leisure.

New Construction Home Buyer's Inspection

If you are not in the construction business, it is essential that you have a Home Inspector inspect during the construction of your new home.

You may not understand what to look for during the construction of your new home. The bank sends an inspector who is only looking to see what the builder has completed and the inspector from the Building Department is only looking to see if the work conforms to code.

Prior to the start of construction, Home Owners should consider hiring
Caradine Home Inspections to inspect their home during construction and do a final walk through at the end of construction to make sure the builder followed the plans and specifications you contracted for.  If you like, we can consult with you about your plans.

Caradine Home Inspections will fill in the missing gap. We will inspect the quality of workmanship and general conformance to plans. At each inspection we will submit a report. At the completion of the home, we prepare a "Final Punch List" which lists all items the Builder should correct before turning the house over to you, the Home Owner.
